DAY 2 - Wednesday, JULY 2nd- SENEGAL

SOCAFARIANS will enjoy a full exploration of different towns and villages as we embark on a day trip to Fathala.  As we drive 4-5 hours through untouched land and villages seeing the day in the life of local people and culture. When we arrive Fathala Wildlife Reserve an authentic African Safari experience. We will experience herds of rare Western Giant Eland – only found in this part of the world – as well as other antelope species, such as roan, waterbuck and bushbuck.  We will also see beautiful African giraffes, rhino, buffalo, warthog as well as red colobus, green vervet and red patas monkeys and exquisitely colored bird species plus many plant species not seen anywhere else in the world.  

We will visit local villages as we drive through the beautiful landscape of South Senegal known as Saloum and see the true gems of Senegal.  SOCAFARIANS will have an opportunity to engage with the local farmers, artisans and the community exchanging dialogue with the chief and natives.  

Once we return to the city of Saly SOCAFARIANS will have an opportunity to have a scrumptious dinner and an optional night out in the vibrant night life of the city.

Enjoy a Lion Adventure – a once in a lifetime experience. Take the opportunity to interact with lions and accompany them on foot. An unparalleled experience that offers insight into the behavior of this species, with lots of photo opportunities.

DAY 3- Thur, JULY 3rd - SALY / PINK LAKE, SENEGAL / WELCOME PARTY

Today SOCAFARIANS will enjoy a short road trip through the local towns as we head to Lac Rose (Pink Lake).  The lake is known for its unique pink hue which is a highly saline body of water — one of the highest in the world. The lake gets its color from safe bacteria in the water, which produce a red pigment to absorb sunlight. You will be thrilled by the contrasting sizes of the salt mountains packed up by the lake’s shore as well as the gold sand dunes. It is estimated that one thousand people work around the lake, and they collect 24,000 tons of salt each year to be sold throughout the world. 

Beyond the lakes mesmerizing waters SOCAFARIANS will enjoy Quad biking (ATV) horse back ride around the sandy shores providing an adrenaline-pumping way to explore the contrasting landscapes surrounding the lake, from lush greenery to the stark, yet beautiful, salt flats. We will enjoy a boat ride on the beautiful lake learning and observing the men fetch the salt. 

What is a SOCAFARI day without a Fete.  We will enjoy lunch at the lake with the sensational rhythms of Africa infused with Caribbean flare at our day party.  This day will be one for the books.  

WELCOME PARTY: In the evening hours SOCAFARIANS will be able to release their inner vibrations when we enjoy our special Welcome Party at a local restaurant lounge with fabulous food and dance with local leaders welcoming us. We will enjoy the beats of traditional West African music.  All of this amazing entertainment infused with Soca, Reggae and Afrobeats will make a night that will be remembered for a lifetime.

DAY 4 - Friday, JULY 4th -Leave Saly to Dakar, SENEGAL

This morning SOCAFARIANS will check out of our beautiful SALY hotel to depart to Dakar for a weekend full of excitement in the bustling city.

HISTORY TOUR: SOCAFARIANS will wake up early and enjoy a beautiful breakfast buffet before we have a full day to explore the city of Dakar.  Today we will explore historical sites and learn ancient history that still affects us today that will touch our hearts and souls.  We will visit Goree Island, The African Renaissance Monument, and The Mosque Divinity plus other amazing sites within Dakar.

What is GOREE ISLAND:  

The Island of Goree is colorful and vibrant but has a truly sad history.

Goree Island was first discovered in 1444 by Portuguese sailors but then was used primarily as one of hubs of the slavery transportation. The town was active in the Atlantic slave trade from 1536 until 1848, giving it its dark history.

In 1780-1874 the famous House of Slaves with the door of no return was built and was one of the first buildings to be made on the island.

Night Out in Dekar

SOCAFARIANS will have an amazing opportunity in a local lounge where dinner and dancing will captivate us.  SOCAFARIANS will enjoy an African infused meal as we look onto the Atlantic Ocean.  As the waves hit to shore so will the energetic beats and sounds of SOCA, Reggae, Afrobeats, and Mballax flowing from the turntables of our DJ.  Save your energy for a fun and enjoyable night.

DAY 5 - SATURDAY, JULY 5TH - SENEGAL

Today, our SOCAFARIANS have the freedom to choose their own adventure! Whether you prefer a day of rest and relaxation, exploring the vibrant local markets of Senegal, or embarking on your own journey to discover hidden gems and lesser-known sights, today is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

We still have one more incredible week ahead filled with pure vibes and unforgettable experiences, so take this opportunity to recharge, explore, or simply soak in the magic of Senegal in your own way.

EVENING

Tonight, our SOCAFARIANS will be fully immersed in the heartbeat of Senegal! Get ready for an unforgettable evening filled with the hypnotic rhythms of live drums, high-energy dancing, and the bold, exotic flavors that make Senegalese cuisine so unforgettable.

DAY 6 - SUNDAY, JULY 6th - SENEGAL

Today, SOCAFARIANS head to one of Senegal’s coastal gems — Village de Ngor. Perched on the northern tip of the Dakar peninsula, this vibrant beach town is full of color, culture, African vibes!

As we arrive at the shore, a line of brightly painted boats will be waiting to whisk us across the sparkling turquoise waters to Ngor Island, just minutes from the mainland. It’s island time, SOCAFARI style!

-On the island, the vibes are unmatched. We’ll dance barefoot in the sand to the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats and the powerful soul-stirring drums of local Senegalese musicians. Whether you're relaxing, swimming in the Atlantic, or just soaking in the sun, this is the ultimate beach fête! And what’s a party without food? You’ll feast on fresh meat and seafood grilled right in front of you by local chefs, plus other exotic and mouthwatering Senegalese dishes that’ll leave your taste buds begging for more. 

After our beachside celebration, we’ll head back to the village to explore and get an authentic look into local life. We’ll visit the community, connect with residents, buy local goods.

DAY 7 - MONDAY, JULY 7th - A DAY IN CASSABLACA MOROCCO

SOCAFARIANS! We’re taking flight early this morning as we leave the rhythms of Senegal behind and head to the enchanting, mythical land of Morocco!

Upon arrival, we’ll be welcomed with a delicious Moroccan breakfast and soothing sips of traditional mint tea, the perfect way to begin our journey in this rich and colorful culture.

Next up: The Hassan II Mosque
Prepare to be amazed as we explore one of the world’s largest and most breathtaking mosques. Sitting right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, this architectural masterpiece is famous for its intricate tilework, towering minaret, and awe-inspiring prayer halls. Don’t forget your camera. The views are postcard-perfect! 

A True Moroccan Welcome
After a bit of exploring in Casablanca, we’ll be warmly welcomed into a local Moroccan home for a traditional lunch experience. This is your chance to taste authentic home-cooked flavors and dive into the customs and hospitality of Moroccan life. A truly unforgettable moment.

Journey to Marrakech
Following lunch, we’ll journey on to the vibrant city of Marrakech, where we’ll settle into our accommodations and enjoy our first magical night in Morocco.

Dinner will be served at the only Caribbean inspired Moroccan restaurant in Marrakech where we will hear familiar Caribbean and Western music incorporated with the sounds and rhythms of Morocco.

Day 8- TUESDAY, July 8th - MARRAKESH, MOROCCO

SOCAFARIANS first Morning in Marrakesh will start with a visit to the city’s famous landmarks:

Bahia Palace: A 19th-century palace with beautiful gardens, arches, and traditional Moroccan decor.

Koutoubia Mosque: Marrakech’s largest mosque with a distinctive minaret, visible from much of the city.

Jemaa el-Fna Square: The lively main square filled with musicians, food stalls, and street performers.

Afternoon: Visit a local pottery factory to see traditional Moroccan pottery-making in action. Learn about the techniques used to create the beautiful ceramics, including the glazing and decorative methods unique to Moroccan artisans.

The Evening SOCAFARIANS will enjoy a night out indulging in the sounds of Morocco with a Caribbean twist.

DAY 9- WEDNESDAY, July 9 - SAHARA DESERT, MOROCCO

SOCAFARIANS will have an early morning departure from Marrakech and drive through the Atlas Mountains, a stunning range with winding roads and scenic views of valleys and peaks. Afternoon: We will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient, fortified village, made of clay bricks and earthen architecture, is famous for its appearance in many films. Explore the old kasbahs and narrow streets. Evening: Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” and check into your accommodation for the night. SOCAFARIANS will indulge in a private desert Moroccan event designed specifically with our vibe in mind.

DAY 10 - THURSDAY JULY 10TH - AFRO-MOROCCAN VILLAGE TOURS & SAHARA DESERT

In the Morning we will depart Ouarzazate and journey toward the Sahara Desert, passing through desert landscapes and small villages.  In the afternoon we will stop in Khamlia Village the home to a beautiful Afro-Moroccan community. SOCAFARIANS will visit the Afro-Black Culture House, where we will experience traditional Gnawa music, a genre that combines African rhythms with spiritual songs and dance. 

In the Evening after an amazing journey SOCAFARIANS will arrive at the edge of the Sahara Desert and take a camel trek through the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach our desert camp. In the night we will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night under the stars in a Bedouin-style tent.

DAY 11 - FRIDAY, JULY 11TH - Sahara Desert to Marrakech & Night Life

Today begins with something truly unforgettable: a mind-blowing sunrise in the Sahara Desert. There’s nothing quite like watching the first light of day kiss the golden dunes — it's a moment that will stay with you forever.

After a light breakfast, we’ll hop on camelback for one last ride through the Sahara, soaking in the magic of the desert one final time.

Scenic Road Trip to Marrakech
Then, it’s time to hit the road for our return journey to Marrakech! We’ll cruise through the breathtaking Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves, desert villages, and ancient kasbahs. Keep your eyes peeled, this drive is like watching a movie come to life.

Marrakech Night Out (OPTIONAL)
Once we arrive and settle in, SOCAFARIANS who are still ready to turn up can hit the town for a night out in Marrakech. Expect bumping beats in a club nestled inside of Morocco's oldest casino and enjoy the spices of Moroccan nightlife. Let’s close the night out with style and rhythm!

SOCAFARIANS! After a dreamy night in the heart of Marrakech, we’re waking up refreshed and ready to soak in our final full day of this epic adventure. After breakfast, it’s time to treat yourself to some well-deserved me time with a menu of optional experiences designed to recharge your soul and spark your creativity:

We’ll gather for our final group dinner in a stunning, traditional Riad tucked inside the Medina, where we’ll toast to new friendships, soul-shifting memories, and the journey of a lifetime.
